# of People to Attend the Club in '08 - 260

July 3rd - Blood Bowl Hits Mid-Season + AGM

Most teams are now into the 4th round and the '08 Season Ladder is starting to take shape. Check out the standings on our Blood Bowl Pages.

The club's AGM will be held again on August 2nd. For members it is a real chance to have a say on issues regarding the running of the club and a chance to offer new ideas and pay their 2008-2009 Membership.

For non-members it is a great chance to meet people and learn more about the many Specialty Games we play.

As always we will be drawing a few free memberships to those that attend the AGM.

June 6th - Club Closed

Just a reminder that the club will be closed this weekend (June 7th) due to the Australian Games Expo. The club will be open again next Saturday the 13th of June.

April 6th - Formula De Revs Up in 2008

The new look Winter '08 Season for Formula De is set to commence next weekend. A mix of Experienced and Rookie drivers are currently taking part in Time Trials ready for the opening race of the season, Melbourne! For more information on the format check out the Formula De Pages

March 9th - Painting Competitions 2008

This year the club plans to run 2 major painting competitions. The first is open now and closes on the 3rd of March 2008. Entry forms are available from Mind Games, Albury. Club Member Paul Powzyk is again judging the competitions in '08. Thanks Paul.

March 8th - Blood Bowl is up and running

Yes folks the 2008 season of Blood Bowl is upon us again. In all 10 insane teams are taking to the field for the coveted Border Games Blood Bowl Trophy. Check out the Blood Bowl link on the left to find out more.

March 1st - Our First International Playtest

Last weekend Border Games had the honour of being invited to help playtest a major product line from one of the world's biggest and most lavish game companies, Fantasy Flight. In all 10+ hours were spent over 2 sessions, playtesting, which included reviewing each experience and offering critical feedback on all aspects of the game. The club had to sign non-disclosure agreements but when the game is released, we will provide more information on this great experience.

We are hopeful that our dedication and experience will lead to more playtest opportunities in the future and if we are really lucky, some of those involved may have their names printed in the playtest credits when the game is printed.

Feb 26th - SummerCon I - A Modest Success

The club's first SummerCon was run at the Hume Inn this past weekend and given the promotion was very much internal (and short notice), we were very pleased with the turnout. We had approximately 70 people attend over the 2 days and Yu-Gi-Oh!, Board Games, Tabletop and Role-Playing were well supported. You can catch more info on what happened at the event below.

We hope to see you for a game soon.
